The National Immigration Administration issued an announcement today, In its announcement, the new version of the foreigner visa, group visa and residence permit will be applied. The Bureau of Exit and Entry Administration of the Ministry of Public Security will begin to issue new foreigner visas, group visas and residence permits from June 1, and stop issuing the current version of foreigner visa, special economic zone tourism visa, group visa, and residence permit. The new version also applies to the special economic zone tourism visa.

The new version of the foreigner visa, group visa and residence permit is a sticker-type certificate designed and manufactured with reference to the relevant standards of the ICAO DOC9303 Machine Readable Travel Document. It is printed with a number of physical anti-counterfeiting technologies such as gravure printing, holographic cursor and color changing ink. Compared with the current version of the certificate, the new version of the document has been adjusted in terms of layout specifications, column settings, machine-readable code rules, etc. The new version of the foreigner visa and residence permit will replace the black and white photos with color photos now.

After implementing the new version of the foreigner visa, group visa and residence permit next month. The visa application requirements, procedures and standards, fees, and customs inspection requirements for all types of documents remain unchanged. Previously issued documents remain valid before they expire.
